Last Friday, June 27, 2008, Tammy and I were married in a small, private ceremony. We wed in our church and were joined by a few close friends and family. We exchanged rings inscribed in Hawaiian, “ho’okahi ke aloha” — one in love. I never believed that in my lifetime we would be able to be truly, legally married. We planned our wedding in one whirlwind afternoon while my mom watched the kids but it was more than enough time to create one fabulous day for our family.
