Roomies? Take our exciting new poll!

Grace and Hope are going to share a room, that’s always been the plan.  Now Hope is 1, she’s been in our bedroom the whole time.  She sleeps through the night, I’m almost back to sleeping through the night.  I’m wondering if it’s time to move her into the room with Grace?  I don’t know how attached Hope is to our room, I don’t know if I want to find out — so maybe I should move her before she starts crying like a typical kid.  On the other hand, I’m not sure I could sleep without her in the room — it would feel so empty without her.  I’d probably end up sleeping in a sleeping bag in the girls room.

The other drawback is that I know it means earlier mornings, as soon as Grace wakes up in the morning and sees her sister she’s going to be “up.”  Right now, I hear her wake up around 6:00a, but there’s nothing for her to do so she usually goes back to sleep until 8:00a.  Those days are gone once her roomie moves in.

Then there are the obvious safety concerns, but I mean we’ll never really know that Grace will pull Hope out of the crib until we give it a try — or is that just crazy talk?  You decide.

I’m confessing I voted twice. What about bunk beds? Grace could sleep on the top and you on the bottom. Then Grace could jump off from her bed into the crib with Hope, and Tammy could get the bed to herself and a real good nights sleep? My bad!

What about nap time? Kiss that goodbye.

They will be just fine…. it might take a few weeks to settle into a new routine… but they will…. my guys all share rooms and have for a long time….
Jake (13 non pws) shares with Ben (10 w/PWS)
Aric (16 non PWS) shares with David (13 w/PWS)

Queen Caroline has her own room… but she is the only girl!!! Poor thing!!

My bet is that they will do just fine!

I voted for “Other” but I don’t think it counted me as “other”… Anyways, I think maybe you should try it a couple of times. It doesn’t hurt to try, and if it doesn’t work out quite yet, you can always move her back to your room. Try it on a weekend, though. So that Tammy is home in the morning for moral support.
