Well, ran my first 5K in three weeks – all at once and without stopping to…um…you know.
In the end, I averaged what I hope will be my marathon pace — 11-minute mile. My tendon ached, but it was a dull, throbbing ache and not the shooting pain that I had before. I’ve iced it once already, applied anti-inflammatory cream, and popped an Alleve. I’m hoping that is overkill.
There were about 30 other runners, divided into three levels. I’m a level one, because one is the most awesome. I think they should handicap people running on hobbit-legs.
